1. About these terms

These terms are a contract between you and [YOUR LEGAL NAME / COMPANY NAME AND NUMBER], trading as Clifton Economics ("we", "us"), and govern your use of [WEBSITE DOMAIN] and the revision content and tools we provide (the "Service"). 2. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18, or 16+ with the consent of a parent or guardian, to open an account. You agree to provide accurate registration details and to keep your login credentials confidential. Your account is for your personal use only — you may not share it, and each subscription is for a single user.

3. The Service and your licence to use it

We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the revision materials for your own personal, non-commercial study while your subscription or trial is active. All content is original, independently produced material owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, download in bulk, scrape, republish, resell, share, or otherwise distribute the content, in whole or in part.

4. Subscriptions, prices and payment

• Plans and prices. We currently offer: £7.99/month, £44.00/year, and a founding-member rate of £5.99/month (limited availability). Prices are shown on the pricing page and are the total amount you pay [ADJUST IF VAT-REGISTERED — currently no VAT is added].
• Free trial. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. You must provide payment details to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically start and you will be charged the price of your chosen plan.
• Payment. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method for the recurring fee.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. Your founding-member rate, once locked in, continues for as long as your subscription remains active and uninterrupted.
• Reminders. We will send you a reminder before your free trial converts to a paid subscription and before an annual subscription renews, so you are never charged without notice.
• Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods. We will give you at least [NOTICE PERIOD — e.g. 30 days] notice by email before any change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect if you don't agree. Existing founding-member rates will not be increased while your subscription continues.

5. Cancelling, and your right to a refund

• Cancel any time. You can cancel whenever you like from your account's "Manage billing" area (the Stripe customer portal) — it is designed to be as easy to cancel as it was to sign up, with no phone calls or retention hurdles. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
• What happens when you cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not provide pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a period unless the law requires it.
• Cancelling the trial. If you cancel before the 7-day trial ends, you will not be charged.
• Your statutory cancellation right (14 days). As a consumer buying online, you normally have a 14-day "cooling-off" right to cancel. Because this is digital content/services delivered immediately, by subscribing and accessing the content you agree that we may start providing it straight away and you acknowledge that your 14-day right to cancel is lost once access has begun — except that this does not affect any separate rights you have when a free trial ends or a long-term contract renews.
• Refunds. If you were charged in error, or the Service is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a refund or other remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Contact [CONTACT EMAIL] and we'll put it right.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: share or resell your account; copy, scrape, or redistribute the content; attempt to bypass the paywall or access content you have not paid for; interfere with the security or operation of the Service; or use it unlawfully. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

7. Nature of the content — important disclaimer

The Service provides independent revision support. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the University of Bristol or any other institution. The materials are original study aids based on publicly known syllabus topics; they are not official course materials.

While we work hard to make the content accurate and thoroughly check it, we do not guarantee that it is free from errors or omissions, that it covers everything in your course, or that using it will produce any particular exam result. It is your responsibility to use it alongside your official course materials. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for academic outcomes.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, suspend, or withdraw parts of it, and we carry out maintenance from time to time.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited (including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, and to your statutory consumer rights, our total liability to you arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the [12 months] before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or on the site and update the date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, including your right to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction where applicable.
